🌱Herbal Pain Relief Oil: This blend uses a high-potency infusion of time-tested herbs designed to target pain at its source, reduce inflammation, and enhance mobility. Whether it is post-workout stiffness, achy joints, or chronic back discomfort, this powerful formula delivers soothing, natural comfort. It contains:

White Willow Bark: Nature’s aspirin, providing strong anti-inflammatory properties to reduce discomfort.
Devil’s Claw: Renowned for relieving joint pain and stiffness in conditions like arthritis.
Comfrey: Known as “knitbone,” it helps speed tissue repair and reduce muscle pain.
Plantain: Gently soothes irritated skin and promotes connective tissue healing.
Ginger Root & Rosemary: Warming herbs that stimulate circulation and soothe soreness.
Frankincense & Peppermint: Potent oils that reduce swelling, soothe tension, and provide a cooling, analgesic effect.
Jojoba Oil: Mimics skin’s natural oils, ensuring rapid absorption without clogging pores.
Castor Oil: Penetrates deep into the musculoskeletal system to boost circulation and assist in detoxification.

Place all herbs and oils into a small crock pot on low, stirring every 15 minutes or so for 2 hours. For delicate medicinal oils, keeping the temperature below 𝟏𝟏𝟎∘𝐅 (𝟒𝟑∘𝐂) is preferred to prevent degradation. I like to the turn the heat off and let it sit overnight, then turn it back on in the morning to let the heat thin the oil before filtering. Store in a dark container at room temperature, away from sunlight.

Starting off my day with a fresh mix of Sunshine tea! An excellent mix to beat the winter blues… It includes:
*Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis): A gentle herb that reduces anxiety, insomnia, and restlessness, often called a “happy herb”.
*Holy basil (Tulsi): Works by normalizing cortisol levels, boosting mood, and reducing the stress-induced symptoms often associated with the change in seasons.
*Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia): Ideal for soothing the nervous system, reducing stress-related headaches, and improving sleep.
*Milky Oats (Avena sativa): Excellent for nourishing the nervous system when feeling emotionally or physically exhausted.
*Ashwagandha: shows promise as a natural, adaptogenic remedy to help manage symptoms of seasonal depression, such as stress, anxiety, and fatigue, by lowering cortisol levels.
*Saffron (Crocus sativus L.): A powerful spice that boosts serotonin, it is used to lift spirits and alleviate depression.
*Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea): Known as “golden root,” this adaptogen helps the body manage stress-induced depression and improves mood resilience.
*Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum): Often called “nature’s Xanax,” this mushroom contains triterpenes that promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep, aiding in calming the mind.
*Chaga (Inonotus obliquus): An adaptogen that tones the nervous system to manage stress and anxiety while boosting the immune system during colder, darker months.

Oh my goodness, you have to talk about cloves! These little dried buds are absolutely magical—it’s like Mother Nature packed an entire, fiery apothecary into a tiny, fragrant package. Seriously, I’m obsessed with them for everything from calming a chaotic tummy to turning my morning tea into a warming, immune-boosting elixir!
Here is the lowdown on the incredible power of cloves:
The Eugenol Warrior: The superstar in cloves is eugenol, an essential oil that acts as a total anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral powerhouse. It’s why our ancestors used them for centuries, and it’s why I keep them in my kitchen constantly!
Instant Oral Relief: Have a toothache? Seriously, chew on a whole clove! It’s an amazing, natural numbing agent (analgesic). Clove oil is my go-to for gum health and fighting that annoying mouth bacteria.
Digestive Magic: If you’re feeling bloated or nauseous, clove is a wonderful carminative (a fancy herbal term for "soothes gas and keeps things moving"). It stimulates digestive enzymes, making it perfect to take after a big, rich meal.
Unmatched Antioxidant Power: Did you know that 1/2 teaspoon of ground clove has more antioxidants than 1/2 cup of blueberries?! It’s crazy high in antioxidants, helping to fight free radicals and boost your immunity during cold and flu season.
Warming & Comforting: I love to throw them into my ginger-cardamom tea or make a "pomander" (orange + cloves) for that amazing, cozy scent that makes my home feel so safe and warm.
Simple Daily Ritual: I love drinking clove water—just simmer 4-5 cloves in a cup of water, maybe with some honey, and you have the most refreshing, health-boosting drink.

A quick tip from a fellow herb lover: Always use them in moderation! They are potent, so 1–2 cloves a day is plenty to feel the benefits.
Go and get some cloves, friends! Your body (and your kitchen!) will thank you for this tiny powerhouse. 🌿✨

The list of herbs and other incredible plants that offer healing properties is seemingly endless, with several appearing in own own kitchens. It was difficult for me to figure out how to begin posting about such an in-depth topic, so for the first post on this page, I'm reeling it back in to some of the basics with 12 simple to source herbs that you might already have on hand. The benefits only scratch the surface of what each plant actually offers. I cannot wait to go into depth on each on this page, so be sure to give me a "follow"! I'm also on Instagram .
