A renovation begins by reconsidering how the rooms relate to one another.

Here, enclosed spaces and dated finishes gave way to a more open kitchen, dining, and living area. New openings bring daylight deeper into the plan, while the kitchen’s white perimeter cabinetry, dark island, and simple material palette give the main level a clear center of gravity.
