Breckenridge Group Architects / Planners

Breckenridge Group Architects / Planners Architecture Founded in 1984, and formerly known as The IEF Group, Breckenridge Group is led by Klindt Breckenridge, AIA, President.

Breckenridge Group was founded on the premise that the highest quality of service can be provided by a select group of architects, concentrating on a select group of clients. Breckenridge Group’s clients are those who build and operate facilities for their own long-term use; clients who value both good design and quality construction. We have extensive experience serving municipalities, federal go

vernmental agencies, various educational clients, as well as private commercial and retail clients. Most of our architects have practiced architecture together since before the establishment of this firm and this stability is one of the strengths of Breckenridge Group.

But wait, there is more!

As we near the end of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we have another on our team to celebrate! Today we are featuring JUAN GONZALEZ, an intern who joined us here at Breckenridge Group this past summer. After obtaining his Associate in Drafting and 3D Modeling from College of the Redwoods in California, he set his sights onto a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Juan is in his fourth year at the University of Arizona, College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA). In his free time, he enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Join us in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month!

Today we are featuring EDGAR PARRA, he has been with Breckenridge Group for the past eight years, starting as an intern his junior year of college. Edgar obtained his Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of Arizona in 2015. With the firm, he has been involved with many projects from ADA investigations, building additions and remodels, commercial tenant improvements, and various open-end projects. In his free time, Edgar enjoys volunteering within the community, painting, hiking, cooking, and reviewing movies. As our office ambassador of “Fun Shirt Fridays”, we are celebrating National Hispanic Heritage month with a compilation of some of our favorite Edgar looks.

Join us in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month!

Today we are featuring CARLOS DE ALVA, a Senior Project Manager for the Breckenridge Group Architects and Planners. Carlos obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from La Salle University in Mexico City in 1992. Developing his superior design skills, Carlos interned with internally acclaimed architect Ricardo Legorreta. In pursuit of his master’s degree in architecture, Carlos moved to Arizona in 1996 and graduated from the University of Arizona, class of 1998. With over 25 years of professional experience in design, planning, and contract administration, his knowledge and understanding spans over a wide range of small-to-large scale commercial, medical, municipal, k-12, higher education, and government projects. Carlos sees every new project as an opportunity to meet and learn from new people, and to expand his insight into how buildings influence who we are and how we work.

Project Spotlight!
Breckenridge Group recently completed Scottsdale Fire Station no.616. The 7,100 SF, LEED certified facility features a unique design that blends into the existing topography and surrounding neighborhoods. The designed roof slope mimics an existing hill on the site, respecting the area’s natural desert vegetation.
