We had a client who needed new doors for his utility closet. They were not standard sizes, so we custom built them! They are wood frame interior with steel on the outside and wood framing around the doors. Caulked, and primed. I understand the paint drips look a litte rough however we were specifically asked by the client to not spend any extra time on finishing as they were having the entire house painted a custom color soon and were going to let the painters take care of it. Here are a series of pictures to show the work that we did from the finished project to where we started! Let us know if you have any similar projects that you would like to talk about! We do basic handyman tasks as well like changing out light fixtures and even yard work!

*Please note: there is no working gas unit in this utility closet. It is a brand new electric heat pump with an external vent, so the doors did not need to be vented.

We recently installed this 12' x 20' pre-fabricated aluminum porch for a realtor preparing the home for sale. The project involved digging and pouring five concrete footers—one of which had to be placed directly in the middle of a sandstone sidewalk. Because of the location of the electrical box and exterior light, another post had to be attached to the porch rather than set in concrete. We cut and dug out a section of the sandstone. After assembling the unit, we securely bolted it to the footers and the back wall of the house.

Hey everyone!
It’s been a while since we’ve posted — we were hard at work on the big house renovation project that started back in June. It was just over two months of non-stop work, roofing, cleaning, demo, drywall, cabinet restoration... Now that it’s wrapped up, we’re shifting our focus back to regular maintenance work!

We’ve taken on a few jobs recently — from fixing a refrigerator fan to changing electrical outlets. Another recent job (see pics below) involved repairing a bathroom that had condensation damage caused by a broken exhaust fan. We cleaned out the ducts, installed a new fan, scraped off the damaged paint from the ceiling and walls, and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

If you’ve got a project in mind (big or small!) or just need help with odd jobs around the house (putting up blinds or putting together furniture?) don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help with just about anything maintenance-related!

P.S. - Swamp coolers are going to need to be winterized soon so keep us in mind for that!

Colin and I are excited to share that our little business is embarking on a major renovation project - a six-bedroom, two-bathroom house that we will be renovating independently. We are working in conjunction with the property owner, who isn't wanting a complete flip, but wants it in good shape to be able to rent out. This project will provide us with invaluable hands-on experience and significantly enhance our business credentials. We will be handling all aspects of the renovation from roofing to cleaning to demo to putting it all back together.

We have already started with the roof, which had been poorly done by the previous owners. Fortunately, the shingled area is in good condition, however, the flat area is requiring an enormous amount of work due to insufficient coating and disintegrating roofing paper. We have spent the past few days pressure washing and scraping the roof and will be moving forward with patching and cool coating soon.

The next step involves a deep cleaning, requiring biohazard suits and respirators. To prepare, I applied a pre-cleaning disinfectant/deododerizer throughout the house this afternoon and set out live traps to capture the current furry occupants. Keep an eye on our page for updates of the entire process and our final results!

Take a look at some of the pics of what we are up against below!

Please excuse the temporary disorganization while I "fix" up the page. It was brought to my attention that the before and after collages may not be clear to our visitors, so I am working on posting individual before and after photos. Due to Facebook's restrictions, I am required to create a post when adding photos to an album, resulting in multiple random photo posts. Check out our updated photo albums to see what we've done!
