Greenleaf’s Garden Design: This landscape transformation in Methuen, Massachusetts was truly a team effort. Before planting even began, my business partner spent two weeks reshaping the property by building beautiful walkways and steps that improved both access and the overall appearance of the landscape.
To prepare the planting areas, he spread approximately 40 yards of garden soil throughout the new juniper and perennial beds. The clover lawn area and wildflower meadow required even more preparation, with an additional 35 yards of soil carefully graded and spread using an excavator to create the ideal growing environment.
Once the site preparation was complete, our planting crew installed 50 junipers and 60 perennials across the hillside. The combination of evergreen structure and colorful perennial groupings will provide year-round interest while helping stabilize the slope and create a welcoming entrance to the property.

Greenleaf’s Garden Design: This Nashua client originally planned to install his new arborvitae privacy hedge in the fall. After discussing the benefits of spring planting, I recommended moving the project up to early May so the shrubs would have an entire growing season to establish strong root systems before winter.
The client was so pleased with the plan that his neighbor decided to join the project as well. Together, they asked us to install a total of arborvitae creating beautiful evergreen privacy screens for both properties.
Our seven-person crew completed the installation in a single day, carefully planting each shrub, amending the soil as needed, and ensuring proper spacing for a healthy, full hedge as the trees mature. The newly planted arborvitaes immediately improved privacy while creating a natural green backdrop for both yards.

This beautiful Dracut, Massachusetts garden was originally planted in July of 2025, and it is wonderful to see how everything returned after the winter season. The colorful phlox are now putting on quite a show and adding a bright ribbon of spring color along the front foundation gardens.
During this maintenance visit we checked the health of the shrubs and perennials, cleaned up the garden beds, and refreshed the appearance of the landscape so the property continues to look neat, healthy, and inviting throughout the season.
The client was thrilled to see that all of the shrubs and perennials survived the winter beautifully and are continuing to mature together into a charming cottage-style landscape.
At Greenleaf’s Garden Design we enjoy creating gardens that continue to improve year after year with proper plant selection, soil preparation, and ongoing garden care.

Greenleaf’s Garden Design new Hollis, New Hampshire client had a website email connected to a mountain hut in the New Hampshire White Mountains, which I thought was pretty cool. The property already had a beautiful natural woodland setting, and the client wanted to freshen up and enhance the gardens surrounding the home and patio areas.

During this visit we spread approximately 6 yards of rich Hemlock mulch throughout the landscape to give the gardens a crisp, clean appearance while helping retain moisture and suppress weeds. We also removed three Forsythia shrubs and replaced them with three lovely Fothergilla along with three Japanese Holly shrubs to create a more refined and balanced landscape design.

The refreshed gardens now complement the beautiful blue home, stone retaining walls, woodland backdrop, and patio living areas perfectly.

Greenleaf’s Garden Design's new Hollis, New Hampshire client was excited to discover Greenleaf’s Garden Design while researching the best gardening and landscape services in the area. One of the things he loved most about the property was the collection of magnet pollinator perennials already established throughout the landscape. These colorful gardens attract butterflies, bees, and beneficial pollinators while creating a peaceful woodland setting.

During this visit we carefully refreshed and enhanced the property with 10 yards of leaf mulch and 7 yards of rich black mulch to define the gardens, retain moisture, and give the landscape a clean polished appearance. The natural stone walls, woodland backdrop, mature Japanese Maple, and layered perennial gardens make this property truly special.

The client appreciated our detailed approach and thoughtful care throughout the project and even took the time to leave us a short and sweet Google review.

Spring bulbs are one of the greatest rewards in gardening. After a long New England winter, these incredible flowers emerge with vibrant colors, unique textures, and joyful energy that instantly transforms a garden.
From rich burgundy double tulips and soft peach blends to striking yellow-and-red blooms, elegant white daffodils, and the fascinating checkerboard pattern of Fritillaria, spring bulbs create a magical display that changes every single day.
One of my favorite parts about designing bulb gardens is layering different varieties together so the colors, heights, and bloom times complement each other naturally. The result is a living spring painting filled with movement, texture, and surprise around every corner.
Many of these bulbs were planted last fall, quietly waiting underground through snow, ice, and freezing temperatures before putting on this spectacular show in spring.

Garden Renovation and Seasonal Enhancements in Hudson, NH.
This lovely Hudson, New Hampshire client first hired Greenleaf’s Garden Design three years ago, and each season their gardens continue to grow and evolve beautifully.
This spring we returned to refresh the property with 10 yards of rich dark mulch while carefully walking the gardens to inspect every perennial as it awakens for the season. Part of our yearly process is evaluating plant health, identifying areas that need enhancement, and replacing any struggling plants to keep the gardens thriving year after year.
One thing our clients truly appreciate is that we offer a one-year guarantee on our planting plans. If a plant does not survive during the first year, we replace it free of charge.
The property now features beautifully edged garden beds, colorful emerging perennials, peaceful garden pathways, birdhouses, fountain gardens, and layered seasonal textures throughout the landscape.

This Lowell client had several dead shrubs and large gaps throughout the foundation planting. When I first looked at the garden, I said, “Don’t worry, I can help bring this back to life.”

The first step was removing the exhausted soil that had lost its vitality over the years. We dug out 5 yards of old burnt-out soil and replaced it with 5 yards of rich fresh garden soil to create a healthy foundation for the new plants.

Next came the fun part — selecting colorful shrubs and perennials with rich purples, bright yellows, and vibrant greens to give the garden contrast and energy throughout the seasons.

The transformation happened fast. We started Saturday morning at 8 AM and by 3 PM the entire garden had a completely refreshed look with healthy soil, beautiful textures, and colorful new plantings.

The client absolutely loved the result and was amazed at how dramatically the foundation planting changed in just one day.

This Amherst project started with a familiar problem—a dry, tired garden where nothing seemed to grow. The homeowner was ready for a change.
After taking a look, the solution was simple but powerful: start fresh from the ground up. We removed the old, depleted soil—going down about 8 inches—and hauled 8 yards of it back into the woods.
In its place, we installed 8 yards of rich, beautiful garden soil, creating the perfect foundation for something new.
I told her, “Keep it watered for a couple of weeks, and you’ll have yourself a wildflower garden.” She smiled and said, “That sounds fantastic.”
And that’s exactly what this space is becoming—a once lifeless area, now transformed into a thriving wildflower garden full of color, life, and possibility.

At this Tyngsboro home, the vision was simple—a natural, colorful wildflower garden to bring life to the space.
We started with a full cleanup, removing several wheelbarrow loads of sticks, clearing out small rocks, and stripping away the existing grass. To properly reset the area, we buried the debris and laid down cardboard, creating a natural barrier to suppress future weeds.
From there, the transformation really began. We spread 8 yards of rich garden soil across the entire space, building a fresh, fertile foundation ready for planting.
To finish the look, we carefully placed natural stones along the front edge, adding structure and a clean visual border to the garden.
What was once a rough, cluttered area is now the beginning of a beautiful wildflower garden, and the client was absolutely delighted with the result.
