A keypad makes for easy access for the whole family and if yours stops working it may be time to replace the battery. When it comes to changing torsion springs we always recommend contacting a professional. The shaft lines in this picture are from two different homeowners who tried changing their own spring and tightened the set screws too tight. This weakens the shaft line and causes stress to the steel which could result in a broken shaft line.

One of our biggest frustrations after doing an installation is all of the “stuff” that is leftover. We hate throwing away anything that can be recycled so we do our best to recycle everything we can. We have been using Ridwell to take our styrofoam, plastic film, batteries and light bulbs. When our work shirts start looking shabby Ridwell recycles those too! UP Refuse & Recycling takes our cardboard & our wood doors and Sutter Metals takes our wiring & metal. We are very proud of the steps we have taken to minimize what ends up in the landfill.

A Before & After picture doesn’t always tell the whole story. The original doors looked decent from the outside but were non-insulated and ready to be replaced. With non-functional openers the doors were unusable so now our customers not only have improved curb appeal but also total access to their garage.

We don’t tell customers it’s time for a new opener unless they absolutely need it. Our theory is run the one you have until it won’t run anymore. This Stan-O-Matic from 1980 had a good, long life and our customers were happy to see it leave on our truck!
