A patio, especially at a restaurant, works so much better when it’s planned out ahead of time.

It all started in the design phase. We worked with the business owner, general contractor, engineer, and designer to draft the perfect patio for this Sioux Falls restaurant.

We installed a beautiful R-SHADE solid roof pergola to create a covered outdoor dining space that feels like a natural extension of the restaurant, not an add-on.

The homeowner wanted shade along one end of their pool while maintaining some openness, so the two spaces can work together. In order to span that distance without a post in the middle, a structural beam was added! The pergola looks as clean as it is strong.

An open patio is great. But a patio people actually ask to sit on is even better!

Before the addition of a two-zone R-BLADE pergola with motorized screens, this restaurant’s patio relied on umbrellas for shade and weather protection.

Now the space can adjust with the day. Open the louvers when the weather is beautiful. Close them when the sun and rain start to take over. The screens block wind and late afternoon sun.

The heat is often what decides how long people stay outside, especially in Florida! This backyard was designed to make the summer sun a little more bearable.
