Sometimes it’s those last design decisions that make the biggest difference.

I hung this plaid wallpaper just a couple days before the Street of Dreams event started. There was a moment where I almost decided not to do it… but I knew it was exactly the detail and character this bedrooms needed. So I pushed through and got it done.

This room was all about layering, mixing pattern, texture, and color to create something that feels collected over time rather than perfectly matched.

I believe in mixing old with new, higher priced pieces with lower priced ones, and a few thrifted finds mixed in along the way.

Design doesn’t have to come from one place or one price point. The magic usually happens when you blend it all together and let the room tell its own story.

If Monday comes every week, why would I meet it with resistance?
Why would I decide in advance that one seventh of my life deserves less?

I’ve lived 1,887 Mondays.
I don’t know how many I have left.
So I love them on purpose.

Proof that my design skills are evolving… my dance skills? Still under construction.

And honestly, that feels like life. You don’t have to master every step to be doing it right. You just have to keep showing up, finding joy, and letting the messy moments breathe.

Don’t take it all so seriously. The magic usually shows up when you’re just being real with your soul.

My word this year is alignment.

Not the kind that arrives all at once,
but the kind you return to,
again and again,
when the noise gets loud
and the world pulls you in a hundred directions.

Alignment is choosing what feels true
even when it’s uncomfortable.
It’s letting go of what looks good on the outside
but feels heavy in the soul.
It’s honoring the quiet nudges,
the pauses,
the moments when my body knows
before my mind catches up.

Alignment means my values and my actions
finally speak the same language.
It means my yes carries intention
and my no carries peace.
It means I stop abandoning myself
to keep the world comfortable.

This year, alignment looks like trust,
trusting timing,
trusting intuition,
trusting that what’s meant for me
won’t require me to shrink, chase, or prove.

It’s choosing relationships that feel safe,
work that feels honest,
and a life that feels like home inside my chest.
It’s learning that rest is not laziness,
stillness is not stagnation,
and walking away can be an act of courage.

Alignment is remembering who I was
before I learned to doubt myself,
and choosing her again.
Every day.
Even when it’s hard.
Especially when it’s hard.

This year isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming back
to who I’ve always been,
clear, grounded, and whole.

Clean lines, custom touches, and craftsmanship that speaks for itself 🤍
These stairs feature engineered white oak flooring, white oak stair skirt, newel posts, and railing — all finished in a custom stain blend for that perfect warm tone. Don’t miss the subtle detail of dust corners for easy maintenance and less time chasing crumbs 👏.

When in doubt pick marble countertops and add linen cafe curtains. It’s hard to believe that this is a mudroom. It’s located just off the garage door entrance into the house. It has 2 open doorways to allow the function and flow of a larger family or gathering. Can’t forget about all the closed door storage this mudroom offers.

Creating a space that’s both functional and beautiful! 🌿✨ This shared Jack-and-Jill bathroom features Kohler polished nickel plumbing fixtures that bring a timeless touch of elegance. The soft floral wallpaper, which I personally hung, adds a cozy, vintage charm to the shared tub and toilet area. The picture frame tile design is the perfect way to add character without it being “loud” or too busy.

Each bedroom has its own sink vanity area, complete with built-in drawers beneath a window, giving everyone their own personal space while still sharing this stunning design. 🛁💙 Perfect balance of style and practicality!

What do you think of the combination of modern and vintage elements?

I love Mondays. Seriously.
For anyone out there dreading them, let me challenge your perspective: you’re dreading 1/7th of your life. If you live to be 80, that’s over 4,100 days spent in a mindset of dread. And let’s be real—it’s probably even more because the other six days, you’re still occasionally thinking about how much you hate Mondays. It’s time to stop doing that!

Here’s a little mindset shift that works for me: take something you don’t enjoy and pair it with something you love. For example, if laundry isn’t your thing, light your favorite candle, put on a playlist or podcast, or call a friend while you fold. Suddenly, the task becomes less of a chore and something you might actually look forward to.

You have the power to change the way you see your Monday (or any day!). Let’s stop wasting time and make every day a good one. 🧠✨

How are you shifting your mindset today?

Cozy dreams in this serene bedroom sanctuary.

The perfect blend of neutral tones, soft textures, and natural light makes this space a haven for relaxation. 🛏️ The layered bed linens and the subtle pattern on the curtains add just the right touch of elegance without overpowering the calm vibe. The vintage-inspired rug ties the room together with its muted hues and timeless charm. The antique brass vintage wall sconce with a scallop shade was one of the lights I found while antiquing in Washington. Mixing old with new makes my heart sing.
