Ms. Penny reached out to see if we could repair a hole in her ceiling that was discovered after replacing her kitchen light fixture. She was looking for a quick, cheap, and stylish fix, so I fashioned a panel out of MDF and primed it at home. This way, I was able to minimize my interruption and mess on site.
She was pleased with our work on the kitchen ceiling, so she asked me to take a look at her crawl space access door. The old door was in much need of replacement, and had no frame. Again, she wanted the easiest fix, but this time, future maintenance was the concern. I removed the old and constructed a frame from pressure treated lumber, and fastened to the masonry structure. To minimize/ eliminate all future maintenance, all hardware is weather resistant stainless steel with galvanized hinges (supply issue, not a choice). The door and casing are constructed of cellular PVC and secured to the new frame.
