The photo does not do justice to the punched-up colors I created on this IRIS print using pigmented archival inks on acid free canvas with a UV protective coating. The original painting hangs in the home of a private collector. This is the only print I made of the original painting and the print data has been lost making it a 1/1 signed by the artist.

Hello Everyone, it’s Dan Fulwiler. In July of 2024 I was in a car accident wherein I broke my neck. Because of this I am unable to work at this time. So, I am selling my private collection of my most favorite works of art I have created to date.

All Giclee prints for sale were custom crafted, by hand, by yours truly. They have all been coated with a UV blocking protective coat and were printed with an IRIS printer using 100% cotton-rag, acid-free canvas with archival pigmented inks. They are stretched by hand onto hardwood stretchers using stainless steel staples. With proper care these prints are designed to look excellent for well over 300 years.

Almost none of the acrylic paintings have been coated with varnish because I cannot consider them finished. Included in the purchase price, I will clean the painting, add a single layer of waterborne varnish to protect it, and apply a new paper backing with a written provenance and signature.

All of this art, including the prints, are one-of-a-kind, unique, individuals. No other duplicate pieces exist. All of the artworks being offered have been around for a while. These pieces have travelled to shows and moved to different galleries throughout the years. It goes without saying that the works are real, and delicate, and so show some signs of damage. This is to be expected and really nothing is to be done about it save to appreciate the temporary nature of all art. If you need brand new art in mint condition, I am available for commissions.

Exterior restoration of cordwood home constructed by hippies about 30 years ago. The logs were cut fresh from the property and after 30 years of drying out the wood had all shrunk about 5% leaving many large gaps between the original mortar and the logs themselves.
Restoration included pressure washing the exterior, sanding the faces of the logs, then using a wire wheel on the edges to remove loose chips and bark, then injecting expanding foam into the larger gaps, sealing the log ends with Permachink brand log sealer, vanishing the log ends with Permachink log varnish, re-chinking every single log (there are 890 just on the front side) with Permachink brand chinking, and then painting the mortar and chinking with Permachink brand chinking paint.

Tuxedo Fabric Wallcovering Installed!

This tuxedo fabric was delivered in a single roll, 64 inches wide.
56 inches of the fabric was backed with a heavier polyester fabric.
About 5 inches of each side of the roll was unwoven, loose, un-backed fabric which had to be trimmed off with a razor blade and straight edge. The table-trims needed to be accurate enough to create a straight, clean seam when two sheets are hung next to each other.
The first sheet is often the trickiest one to cut and hang.
It is important to keep the surface of the fabric clean and dry during installation. This project took 2 artists 10 hours to complete.

A previous painter tried to refinish these doors… with a belt sander.
Needless to say, we were hired to come in and save the project.

We sanded, with the grain, using 220 grit paper on mouse sanders, and 3M sanding sponges. After cleaning the doors up with tack-cloths, we stained, with Sherwin Williams Sher-Wood® oil-based stain using a penetrating brushing method I like to call “School-House Style” or sometimes “Government Stain” because the technique reminds me of the way we used to stain, back in the day, when we did a lot of public work. It’s a little bit of a lost art, and it would seem we are the only painters in the area who know this technique.
After the stain dried, we sprayed two coats of Sherwin Williams’ Sherwood® waterborne lacquer in a satin finish (20 gloss), and I must say, the result is excellent!
