Back in the shop working on another waterfall build. 🔨🌊

From attaching the legs to sanding and applying the finish, every step helps bring out the character of the wood and the depth of the blue epoxy.

A lot of shop time went into this one, but there’s nothing quite like seeing a piece come together from start to finish.

Built by hand right here on our family farm, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

What room would you put this in?👇
Living room, entryway, or office?

A while back, I shared Part 1 of this custom oak waterfall bench build. After plenty of sanding, finishing, and attention to the details, it’s finally home with its owners. 🪵🔨

Getting photos like this from customers is one of the best parts of the job. Seeing a piece go from rough lumber in the shop to a finished piece in someone’s home never gets old. 👊

If you missed Part 1, I added it to my Story so it’s easy to find and watch where this build started. 📲🪵

What room in your home would you put a bench like this? Let me know below. ⬇️🔨

The finished reveal. 🔨🪵💪

Pretty proud of how this custom bar top turned out. This slab came in at 120.5” long, over 21” wide, and a solid 2.25” thick. Built from slightly spalted maple, sourced from Kneifl Tymber in Yankton, stained Early American, and finished with Waterlox H2OLox for lasting protection and character.

There’s nothing better than seeing a piece go from a rough slab to a finished centerpiece in someone’s home. Projects like this are why I love what I do.

What do you think of the final result? 👇

Final Part. 🪵✨

After the second coat and final coat, this custom bar top is complete. I’m pretty proud of how this one turned out. The character in this slightly spalted maple really came to life with the finish, and it’s always rewarding to see a piece go from a raw slab to something built to be enjoyed for years to come. 🙌🤎

A few details on this build:

📏 21” wide
📏 2.25” thick

The customer is building his own base for this top, and I can’t wait to see it all come together. 🔨🏡

I’ll be sharing photos of the finished installation in its new home soon. 👀✨

PART 3 🌲

All that sanding and prep work led to this moment. 🔨

Getting the first coat of stain on this live edge bar top really starts to bring out the character hidden in the wood. There’s still plenty of work ahead, but it’s starting to come together.

Part 4 coming soon. 👀

Not every part of the job is glamorous, but every great piece starts with the groundwork. 🪵🔨

Spent the day cleaning up this slab, removing bark, sanding, and getting it ready for the next stage of the build. Taking the time now means a better finished piece later.

This custom bar top is starting to come together, and I can’t wait to show you the next step. 🍻

Been putting together some steampunk-style lighting pieces lately, and this one turned out pretty slick. ⚙️🔥
Topped it off with a vintage Ford V8 emblem for that old-school garage feel. 🛠️💡

Got this one sitting over at Maker’s Exchange in Tea, SD if you wanna check it out in person. Stop by and take a look 👊

Started roughing out a custom bar top today. Lots of cutting, sanding, and sawdust before the real character starts showing 🍻🪵⚒️

Good craftsmanship takes time, and this one’s gonna be worth it.

Started with a slab of oak and turned it into a custom live edge waterfall bench for a customer. 🪵⚒️

Got the sanding done and stain laid down today. Still have the final finish left, but this grain is already coming alive. Appreciate every chance I get to build pieces like this by hand.

What room would you put this in? 👀

Made these all-natural fire starters to keep campfires burning longer and make getting a fire going a whole lot easier 🔥🪵

Handcrafted one batch at a time and built to burn slow.

You can find them at Makers Exchange Grab a few before your next campfire weekend 🏕️🔥
