This half-barrel has been sitting in my shop for over a year leftover from another project. I finally had the motivation and time this week to turn it into something useful: a dog bed!

It’s made from a genuine 59 gallon oak wine barrel. The deep purple inside is stained from its years storing the wine. The outside shows rustic scars and staining from its time in a winery. It smells sooo good and is built to last. The inside bedding area is about 24”x34” with an overall footprint of 26”x37”x16” tall.

It’s for sale, and can be yours for $300 locally in Port Orchard, WA. Or if you need this somewhere else in the country, I can probably ship it, but there would be some extra cost associated with that option.

Here’s a new mini cribbage board prototype! And below is a story by ChatGPT. The future is here.

Once upon a time, there was a group of friends who loved to play card games. One day, they discovered a game called cribbage and became instantly addicted to it. The game involved creating combinations of cards to reach a total score of 121 points before your opponent. They played for hours on end, each trying to outdo the other and become the cribbage champion among their group.

Hawaii island purple heart inlay on a maple cutting board 🤙

My machine slipped a belt and cut the originally planned handle 😑luckily the damage didn’t spread too far before I emergency stopped the machine and I could draw up a new path that still looked alright.
