Did you know that the name Dodge Ram was first used in the 1981 model year? And that the ram's head hood ornament was used on some Dodge trucks as early as 1933? This customer purchased a pre-owned 2020 Volkswagen Jetta and did not feel comfortable with only one key. We were able to supply and program a spare key to give them peace of mind. Situation: Family with a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, 2 parents, 3 car seats and only one key. Dad leaves for the day, takes the keys for both cars. Mom and 3 littles end up stuck at home, having to cancel their plans.
Not a major disaster, but definitely frustrating. And these types of situations are often what it takes to motivate someone with one key to pick up the phone and get that 2nd key.
Lesson learned: Get that 2nd key to avoid frustration, a last minute change of plans and the guilt of inadvertently stranding your partner..
