Customer service, quality craftsmanship and your personal experience throughout the project is our top priority. Williams Building and Renovation is owned and operated by Ernie Williams. Ernie has over 50 years in the construction industry beginning as an apprentice carpenter
building new track and custom homes with his father in the Shreveport area for the first
15 years and then starting his own
remodel and repair business in 1981. During the next twenty years Ernie continued in all types of construction; foreman for a
large residential and commercial concrete-masonry company in the La Holla/San Diego
California area on anything from malls to multi-million beach homes to naval and
marine base dorms and entertainment facilities in San Clemente and Camp Pendleton. To further his experience in custom trim he worked for a while in the Orlando Florida
scene installing custom trim in multi-million lake homes for Donovan and Associates
and Taylor Building Inc. Moving back to Shreveport in 1990, his renovation business took off. He contracted a
major renovation for New Life Center church and hired out as the lead
carpenter/foreman on the ground up building of Shreveport Community Church which
also involved a renovation project to the adjacent gym. Work for the church also
included a four month expansion project to the church school, Evangel Christian
Academy. In 1998 Ernie became a licensed Louisiana General Contractor and changed the business
name to Williams Building and Contracting. He then became lead carpenter/foreman for
a series of full service truck stops for Relay Station, LLC. Ernie was the General
Contractor for the Relay Station built near Vivian, LA in 2001. Later that year Williams Building and Contracting totally renovated the 33,000 sq. three story, old 1938 Hardware and General Store building in downtown Shreveport. Besides a complete upgrade of the exterior, the interior was turned into an elegant
penthouse, office spaces, and an antique automobile showplace for a well known oil
magnate. Williams put his business on standby to take on the title of project
supervisor for multi-family homes all over the state of Louisiana but his interest in
renovation never faded. After a successful nine year stint as a multi-family supervisor,
Ernie became a project manager for Texas Construction Systems out of Dallas and
renovated the San Pedro Manor Assisted Living Facility in San Antonio. After the completion of that half-million dollar project, Ernie hired on with Cal
Development of Deer Springs, FL, renovating banks in Austin, Dallas, Waco, San
Antonio, and other surrounding areas. In 2014, after many thousand miles as a traveling superintendent, Ernie decided it was
time to stay close to home so he began Williams Building and Renovation. Where he has,
to this point, built, repaired, renovated, and supervised home construction between
Marshall (his home) and Shreveport/Bossier. Needless to say Ernie's construction background has allowed him to be an expert in
residential and commercial building and renovation. He enjoys working close with his clients, giving them ideas for each type of project and
keeping them updated with constant communication on schedules and job costs. His list of satisfied customers is extensive and they have been the best vessel -"word of
mouth" for getting his business recognized, even more than paid advertising. Ernie is a Master Carpenter that executes every detail of a project with excellence and professionalism. I don't believe there is a more experienced individual in his field, nor one that conveys to
his customers the total project planning and experience better than Ernie Williams of
Williams Building and Renovation.
