Life has delivered many changes and different circumstances and I have to focus on mine and my families wellbeing first and foremost.

We’re all okay - just adapting and readjusting priorities.

March is cerebral palsy awareness month and as you know, we go GREEN for our Magic Mav and the other warriors like him!!

💚 LEXINGTON FRIENDS — HELP ME FLOOD FACEBOOK WITH GREEN FOR CP AWARENESS MONTH 💚

Many of you know my son Wesson is a Cerebral Palsy warrior, and he inspires everything I do. Watching his strength and determination has changed the way I see the world.

I recently had the honor of making these Cerebral Palsy Awareness shirts for another CP family, and it reminded me how powerful this community of warriors really is. You MUST see the video of the Dad receiving the surprise Hero shirt! 💚❤️💚

So this month we’re doing something special…

$5 from every CP shirt sold will be donated to the Toyota Bluegrass Miracle League in honor of Wesson.

The Miracle League gives kids of all abilities the chance to play baseball and feel like champions — and that means the world to families like ours.

Hey pot heads! 👋🏻 🪴

Since our storefront location is closed we have been asked a lot about services we will still offer. (Ask as many questions as needed, happy to answer) But for now this is a summary of how we will be moving forward.

Our online store will be active & as a thank you to all of our local regulars, shipping if needed will be free. Our DM’s are always open to help get you what you need! We are happy to arrange pickups or meeting areas. (Hopefully we can set a continuous weekly one soon)

We will still offer repot services, pest treatments, other plant care help, as well as indoor-scaping and plant planning - now we can come to you! We will also be hosting workshops and classes at other venues hopefully and will keep everyone posted about those. In addition, we are able to book for private events / parties!

Our availability is now more flexible for vendor fairs, markets, and pop ups, so please let us know or reach out if you’d like us to join any.

Lastly, if you’re still reading this: I want to say thank you. Thank you for every hug, every chat, every visit, and every form of support. I remain beyond grateful for the way the community has welcomed Mick’s. Many claimed our shop as a safe space, and to those: I am so sorry - I never meant to let you down, and I am always here for you even without the physical shop. My heart is heavy but we have to adapt and continue the best we can with the circumstances we are dealt.

We will continue to work as much as we can with local non profits, organizations, and as a business will do all that we can for advocacy for inclusion and awareness for individuals with disabilities and special needs families.

I love all of you so damn much. Let’s keep growing! 🪴💝

BEYOND EXCITED to let everyone know that the Caroline’s Cart from the shop has been relocated to an amazing home! Good Foods Co-op officially has a disability buggy for customers!

We were all so thrilled about this and I am so thankful for the accessibility this will create for families like ours to access things they need and shop without stress!

So much appreciation to Good Foods for wanting this for their community, and even bigger thanks to Autism Society Bluegrass for their part in both securing this cart for Mick’s, but also facilitating this transfer, as well as continuing to always show up for the autism community and their families!! 💚

Some things may not have went as planned regarding our store but the most important part (for us) was building community and promoting inclusion, which we have and will continue to do in every way that we can!

I’m so grateful for everyone involved in this, for the work and support provided to the community through these organizations!

Our big beautiful gal couldn’t have went to a better home.

One of the best parts of this storefront has been neighboring Rainbow Pet Salon (pink) & today we delivered our monstera to the blue location.

These girls have become family, and knowing this plant will be loved and cared for in such a special place makes all of this easier.

Thank you, to all of the girls at Rainbow for loving on me (and my Herb) and thank you Jean for being with me till the end…literally.

I love you so much. You make even the hard days, a rainbow day, and I’m so thankful for you.
