We are OPEN today because our sweet kitty, Oscar, had an emergency early this morning and needed surgery at Como Emergency Vet. So Todd took a sick day and we figured why not open.

He is only 3 and never has been sick. But I noticed he was acting weird and Todd took him in at 5am. He ended up having a urinary blockage (crystals) and needed to have a surgery for a catheter to flush out the crystals. Luckily his xray showed no stones in his kidneys or bladder. But he has anywhere from a 48-72 hour hospitalization and more flushes for the rest of the crystals, which in total, is not cheap. We're already at almost $4000 which is scary.... but he's just a baby really and we do anything for our pets 💕 His bladder was already getting enlarged from the urine backing up. So with the male cats getting a blockage you don't have much time before it becomes fatal.

A late night at the store...
Well, three late nights in a row.
Haven't eaten dinner yet and it's almost 11:30 pm...

But, here's a peek at what we've been working on.
The front of the store has been moved around a bit, too. Can't say I love it but I have to focus on filling in empty shelves.

Lots to do but must sleep first.

Hello friends 🧡
We won't be open today (Wednesday).
I'm bummed because we like to be on occasional sale weeks. But I had an accidental finding last week on my CT Scan (went in for my 6 month check-up for my pulmonary nodules) and there was no change on them. But they found a pocket of fluid in my right lung so treated me for pneumonia. I felt fine though so it was/is a surprise. But then I started to lose my voice. Again, I still feel fine! So it's just confusing...
We'll be back open Thursday but just a little late as I have an 11:20 dr appt in Chisago City.

I'm having a hard time getting stuff done at the store even though there's a million things to do for this weekend.

Two days ago, we had to put one of our best cats to sleep. Go-T was his name.

Life does go on but I've taken this one hard.
I adopted him from Northwoods Humane Society when I had my store and rental house in St Croix Falls. I kept his name he came with as he was supposedly surrendered because his owner was an elderly woman who passed. And he loved his name!
You will be missed, goats... fly high!

We are open until 5 today. 💛🌞

I have tons of new stuff to hopefully get out tomorrow.
