Ok, so heard this recently and thought it was an interesting way of looking at simplicity!​​​​​​​​

It makes sense, the simpler the process, the quicker you can get things done because you are doing the minimum amount of tasks...maximizing the amount of work not done!​​​​​​​​

Organizing is all about this concept, like when the clothes in your closet are categorized (tanks, short sleeve, long sleeve tops) you can quickly find the piece you're looking for, rather than searching for it in a cluster of clothing mixed together.​​​​​​​​

Garages aren't the most glamorous projects, but an organized garage will set the stage for getting your home organized!

How? If your garage is organized and zoned for holiday, backstock items (tp, etc.), sports, etc...then those items can leave your home and make room for the stuff you need inside.

Decorating for the holidays was important to this client, so the cabinetry was dedicated to her decor and leaving out the renovation products that will be needed soon.

As far as plastic bins go, I love these Iris semi-opaque bins! They come in a ton of sizes, have latching handles and are made in the US!

In his defense, file folding isn't for everyone, it definitely allows you to find the item you want much easier and store more in the space but takes more time to maintain. ​​​​​​​​

As I've mentioned before, if you can, opt for natural products when organizing. Some spaces, like garages, require watertight plastic bins so items are protected, but there are many places in your home you can utilize natural materials. Plus, they look beautiful! 😍

Every year, before I take my holiday decor down, I check out what I didn't put up this year and decide if I really need to keep it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Last year a lot went away because I moved to a new home which was much smaller so I didn't have room for everything. So I was able to consolidate my bins free up space in my garage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
