Nothing like a fresh cut. This one is being cut at 5 inches. Raise your mowing height folks. You will be glad you did. Recommendation is 4”. I cut mine at 5 because I it’s growing so fast and I only want to cut once a week. But you can see the results. Looks way better than a yard cut short.

This yard has a soil problem, just like 90% of all yards here in Central Kentucky. The top soil was skimmed off of the right side and used to level out the left side due to slope. As a result the right side struggles to have grass looking as good as the rest of the yard. On December 21, 2023 I applied a compost application to the right side. I took this picture February 7 (45 days later). Can you tell where I stopped?

Absolutely amazing what a difference it made. This area has not been aerated, dethatched or anything. I just spread compost using my compost spreader which is specifically designed for this type of work. This is the result 45 days later.

Notice the close up picture where the greener grass is in an “L” shaped pattern. This is where I turned the spreader around. I really wasn’t expecting this kind of result this quick. Impressive. What’s on the pallet? New equipment arrived today. Hint: I already have one of these but I’m not satisfied with the job it does so I purchased another one. I’m hard to please. Your yard is treated like my yard. And if the equipment can’t do the job right it gets kicked out to another home. I’ll take the plastic off and share what it is Monday.
