I’d like to say thank you to everyone who reached out, supported, and trusted us in the midst of starting JTFixer last February 2021. More recently, thank you for the prayers and support as we’ve navigated the last 5 months with my broken wrist. Good news is that my wrist is improving! Bad news is we are closing up shop. 🥺

It’s with a little sadness as we close this chapter, and with great excitement as we start a new adventure as a family. Without you, JTFixer wouldn’t have had such a successful year! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us a shot! It was an awesome year and I had a blast serving the Visalia/Tulare community. This isn’t the last of us, you’ll see us around… We’ve got a lot left to give to Visalia! 😎

Have we shown you this part of our back yard? We’re not landscapers by a long shot (we love the work does!) but we just want to say this: small spaces can still be fun. 🥳

Utilizing every spot in a backyard makes a smaller space feel bigger. One of the best things we did to capitalize our area was extend the space from the outdoor patio into the side yard:

-make the grill a purposeful spot to hang. Add a bar to a fence or a pub style table with some barstools
-add pavers to small dirt areas to extend concrete
-add interesting rock to modernize and make the space feel intentional
-landscape! Plants make everything better 🪴
-fountains make for happy spaces ⛲️
-shade sails draw your eyes up to extend the space
-add modern solar lights to fencing to warm it up
-cafe lights always💡(we can help with this!)
-& of course, paint your home if you hate the color 😉 (we know a guy!)

We’ve found we can always long for more, bigger, or better OR we can love the space we’re in right now. 🌿

We heard someone say the other day that they pull straight into their garage and close the door so they don’t have to see any of their neighbors. 🥺

We’re trying to make small changes to our home to go a little old-school and be out front MORE with our neighbors. This was a fun project we worked on together, updating our tired home one project at a time. 🏡🌿✨💪🏻

There’s a lot of new faces around here so I thought I’d introduce myself.

I’m James, the JT behind the fixer, 😉
married to my wife Rachel & dad of 4 awesome kids. Valley native, we’ve settled back into Visalia after living a lot of places over the last 15 years (Lemoore,🐄 England, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 China, 🍜 and Seattle🌲).

I grew up on a ranch driving tractor and always enjoyed fixing all the things I broke. 🤓

Random fact: Over the years, one of my favorite jobs has been working in Retirement homes getting to know and talk with the residents. 👨🏼‍🦳👵🏼

One of the things I’ve loved most the last few months is the opportunity to meet new faces in our community & help people in small ways! 🤝
