Lean-To is cleaned up and ready for final touches.

Wrapping up another project over here!

This homeowner needed a functional, covered space and we delivered with a custom-built lean-to addition attached directly to the garage. This structure creates the perfect spot to park a vehicle, store a boat, or keep equipment protected from the elements.

We framed and set the support posts, tied the roofline into the existing garage, and installed a clean, durable metal roof for long-term protection. You can see in the photos how everything is coming together, from the structural framing underneath to the finished roofline on top. Just a few final touches and this one is ready to go.

Simple, practical upgrades like this can make a big difference in how a space is used every day.

The final step of drywall is officially complete, and this space is now ready for paint

Before any paint goes on, drywall has to go through a detailed finishing process to get that smooth, flawless look:

• Mudding (Joint Compound): This is where we apply layers of joint compound over seams, screws, and corners to hide all joints and create a uniform surface.

• Sanding: Once the mud dries, everything is sanded down to smooth out any ridges or imperfections. This step is key to making sure walls look clean and seamless.

• Skimming: Skimming is applying a thin layer of compound over the surface to even everything out and prep it for a perfect finish.

• Skim Coat: A skim coat is that final, ultra-thin layer that creates a smooth, paint-ready surface. It helps eliminate any remaining texture differences and gives the walls that brand-new look.

All the prep work might not be the flashy part of a remodel, but it’s what makes the final result look flawless. Paint is up next, and this space is about to completely transform.

There’s something special about bringing custom work into a family home ❤️

This side project was all about creating a warm, functional space to gather. We built out the trim to give the bar a clean, finished look and custom-made the wood countertop to fit perfectly both in size and style.

From the rich wood tones to the detailed brick work, every piece came together to create a one-of-a-kind bar top that feels both timeless and inviting.

Electrical and plumbing are finished, and everything is coming together behind the walls exactly how it should. From clean electrical rough-ins to properly run water lines, this phase sets the foundation for everything that comes next.

We partnered with St. Matthews Plumbing on this one, and they delivered. professional, efficient, and done right the first time.

Now that the behind-the-scenes work is wrapped up, we’re ready to move forward with insulation and drywall.

Another big step completed on this garage/basement project!

Previously, Justin walked you through the spray foam insulation stage and what comes next. Now we’re excited to share that drywall is officially complete and it’s completely transforming the space.

With the walls up, you can really start to see this basement come to life. The layout is defined, the rooms are taking shape, and we’re getting closer to the finished vision.

Next up: trim, paint, and all the finishing details that bring everything together. Stay tuned as we take this project across the finish line!
