It's a great method for those with poor soil conditions, limited space, or have a physical limitation that would prevents you from working in a traditional "dirt" garden. All the info here is FREE!! I'm just passing along knowledge that I've learned over the years from others who passed along their knowledge.

I have a thread on a local website with a lot of my bale gardening experiences over the years. - http://forums.johnstoncounty.today/threads/strawbale-gardening-no-weeding-no-hoeing-no-tilling.12405/

Daves Garden is one of the best gardening websites out there. It's free to be a member, but does require a small fee to access some of the forum such as the Straw Bale Garden forum.

How I started Straw Bale Gardening: In the winter of 2004 I was surfing on the internet, looking for something on tomatoes, when I saw an article about a "little old lady" in Alabama who grew her veggies in straw bales!

I has hooked from the beginning, so I printed out the article and followed her "recipe".

Since then, I've learned a lot, and modified and experimented each year.

I still love Straw Bale Gardening and look forward to another year or No weeding, No hoeing, No tilling!!!
