Throughout my life I have worked as a laborer for my father who owned and operated his own construction business for over 35 years. During this time I also worked for a few of his buddies doing masonry, demo, landscaping, among other trades. Please contact me for anything really. Went to Ikea and picked up this piece for additional storage. We had an older piece that has been used for many purposes, but ended up being utilized as a pantry, but not exactly kid friendly. The bottom will be used as the pantry, and the top will be used for fancier items. Took about 4 hours to build, it was a challenge but ended up coming out nice for what it is.

My wife had this great idea to dress up the dining area of our house with this facade mantle piece that she found on Marketplace. The mantle is one piece, I had to measure and cut the base molding where the vertical moldings of the mantle come to the floor and also account for the light switch that needed to be mounted to the mantle.
Overall I couldn't be happier with how it looks and if you didn't know any better you would think it has always been there!

The breezeway needed something to make it a bit more useful and adding the floating floor made all the difference.
I painted the concrete floor about two years ago after I ripped up the rug that was poorly glued down. This made the room cleaner but not any prettier.
This was a fun project to do, adding the trim finished off the floor nicely, but still needs paint.
