As we move further into 2026, the housing market in Livingston County is starting to feel more steady and more predictable than it has in a while. Here’s what I am seeing and what my agent partners are reporting:

Inventory is slowly improving and buyers are seeing a few more options in communities like Brighton, Howell, and Hartland.
Home values are just continuing to grow, but at a steadier pace. That’s good news for sellers who still have equity, and good news for buyers who aren’t facing the same intense bidding wars we saw a few years ago.
Rates remain similar to the beginning of the year, and are not predicted to change much until mid year possibly.
