🚨 STOP BLAMING THE TASSEL! 🎈
If your 36” jumbo helium balloon won’t float, there’s a good chance your balloon isn’t fully inflated!
One of my favorite balloon accessories to make is a big, fluffy tissue paper tassel. They look amazing on jumbo helium balloons, especially when you add vinyl personalization but they can also make it obvious when your jumbo isn’t inflated properly.
For my large jumbo balloon tassels, I use:
- 18 sheets of tissue paper
- X-ACTO guillotine paper cutter
- 7/8” ribbon
- 36” jumbo helium balloons
- a big pump of HI-FLOAT | Balloon Decor Essentials
One of the biggest problems I see with jumbo balloon decorations is when a balloon won’t float once you add a large tassel, vinyl, and HI-FLOAT.
Before you start taking everything off…
📏 MEASURE YOUR JUMBO BALLOON!
9 times out of 10, the jumbo simply isn’t fully inflated.
Depending on the brand, a properly inflated 36” jumbo helium balloon will typically measure around 28–32 inches. That extra inflation gives the balloon enough lift to carry a large tissue paper tassel + vinyl personalization + HI-FLOAT.
This little balloon tip can make a HUGE difference when creating jumbo helium balloons, balloon bouquets, personalized balloons, balloon installations, and statement balloon decor.
