The magic we've been waiting to reveal is next up on the BoCa Flavor IG Live Stage. Dine Diaspora and Black Women in Food's will be joining us this Wednesday, March 22nd at 12 pm ET to share a little bit of her world with us.

Nina Oduro is the CEO and Co-founder of and Co-founder of . Her mission is to create a more equitable food system through initiatives that center around the African diaspora. Born in Ghana, West Africa, raised in the United States, and having opportunities to travel globally, Nina draws on her wide-ranging experiences with diverse foods and cultures to lead strategy and creative direction. Nina leverages her experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion; leadership development; network building; and community development; to connect people and brands through food.

She began her career as a corporate Product Developer and is now the founder of Poppin’ Pantry, a platform dedicated to helping families build generational health. Most recently Lauren competed on the hit show, Snack vs. Chef.

Save, share, and swipe left for the secret ingredient to this homemade creamy sundried tomato hummus made by Chef Za! 👩🏾‍🍳

***Creamy Hummus***

Recipe:
(1) 15oz can of chickpea
1/4 cup of tahini
Juice of 1.5 lemons
a handful of sundried tomatoes
3 cloves garlic
3 teaspoons Taíno Spice
a dash of crushed red pepper
a pinch of cumin
Kosher salt to taste
2 tbsp olive oil + plus more to garnish
microgreens to garnish

1. Drain a can of chickpeas and reserve the aquafaba (the water it comes in)
2. Add tahini and juice of the lemon to food processor and blend together
3. Add in a can of chickpeas, fresh garlic, Taíno Spice, cumin, Kosher salt, and sundried tomatoes to the food processor and blend
4. Add olive oil to the food processor as it blends
5. Add a touch of the aquafaba to the food processor as it blends
6. Transfer hummus mixture to a service bowl
7. Add olive oil and microgreens to garnish
Dassit!

Serve with baby carrots, cucumbers, pita chips, pretzels, or your favorite snack with a crunch

Starting off in full reflection mode thanks to this ginger turmeric tea ft. created by one of our BFs Paul, founder of .co.

Black History Month evokes feelings of pride, joy, and gratitude for most. Celebrating Black culture and all its contributors gives us a much-deserved moment to acknowledge how much we have and are doing to make the world a more equitable place for all. Reflection and gratitude should be a 365/yr thing, but for this month of in particular allow us to adorn ourselves centerstage, spotlighting in all its glamor and glory.
