Reintroduction time ✨
I promised when we hit 500 strong, we’d do this. So here we are.
My name is Olu. Or Funke. Or Olufunke—depending on how we know each other. I’m the founder and Chief Growth Officer (get it? 😉) of Míday Gardens.
Born in Nigeria, where agriculture and growing your own food is woven into the school curriculum, my connection to land and soil runs deep. It’s not just cultural, it’s foundational. After losing a loved one, I found healing in the garden. That grief, paired with my background in public health, sparked a deeper desire to serve—through food, through soil, and through community.
What began as a personal ritual of growing food for my family soon blossomed into communal growth. Friends started asking for help with their gardens, and Míday Gardens was born.
We proudly serve the DMV area with:
🤎 Organic produce grown with intention
🤎 Hands-on workshops that teach you how to grow your own food
🤎 Personalized garden installations and seasonal refreshes
…and now, we’re coming soon to NBC 4 News 🎥🌱
Thank you for growing with us.
