Easy Garlic Butter Steak Fried Rice – Flavor-Packed & Fast
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (preferably day-old)
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 3 green onions, sliced
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro (optional), for garnish
Directions:
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until melted. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until cooked through and slightly browned. Remove the steak and set aside on a plate.
2. In the same skillet, melt another tablespoon of butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, ensuring not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the thawed peas and carrots to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 1 minute, just enough to heat them through.
4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the beaten eggs to the empty side. Allow the eggs to sit undisturbed for about 30 seconds, then gently scramble until just set.
5. Once the eggs are cooked, return the steak to the skillet. Add the cooked jasmine rice, breaking up any large clumps with a spatula. Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
6. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Sprinkle with black pepper. Stir-fry everything together for about 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through and evenly coated with the sauce.
7. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in the pan, mixing it well with the rice and ensuring everything is buttery and flavorful. Adjust seasoning with salt as needed.
8. Finally, toss in the sliced green onions and give the rice a final stir. If desired, garnish with fresh cilantro before serving for an added burst of flavor.
