A primary bathroom should feel like a place you want to start and end your day.

Materials don’t have to be complicated to create interest. Vertical shiplap and a bamboo window treatment add subtle texture, while the double vanity introduces warmth and natural stone that elevates the everyday routine. In the walk-in shower, two tile selections were used—one up top for visual interest and another chosen with practicality in mind for easier cleaning. Good design isn’t just about how a space looks. It’s about how it works for the people who live there and maintain it.

At the end of the day, the best design advice I can give is simple: do what makes you happiest. Your home should reflect what feels right to you and how you want to live every day. ✨

Curiosity is what uncovers the layers. It’s how we discover that the “just a kitchen remodel” is actually about creating space for connection. Or that the home office needs to feel equally focused and inspiring because it holds big dreams.

But curiosity without intention is just ideas.

When I moved back to Iowa, I met Haylee of for coffee at . What was meant to be a quick coffee meet-up turned into an instant friendship.

Now her family is in a new home, and I get to help design it, including her home office. The space where her ideas come to life and her business keeps growing.

Designing for someone you truly know is special. I get to reflect her confidence, her love of color, and her energy in a way that feels natural and true to her. She embraces personality, and her office should feel just as bold and intentional as the work she creates.

Long before design became my career, home was already my calling. 🤍

I grew up in a home that felt like magic, shaped by a mom who believed that spaces matter and that a house becomes a home through warmth and intention. That stayed with me.

For the past ten years, I’ve built a career in design, trusted with your homes and your stories. For nearly eight years, I’ve been a wife, building a life together and always dreaming forward. And for the past three weeks, I’ve been “mom,” a role that has filled my heart in ways I never could have imagined.

Motherhood hasn’t changed why I love design. It has deepened it. More than ever, I understand the power of home. It’s where core memories are made and where you always want to return. My hope is to create a steady, joy-filled home for my son, one he knows was more than just a house.
