GOING BACK TO NC
Some of you may know I spent 16 days in NC with relief efforts. It was difficult coming home knowing the challenges there and growing as the trauma/loss hits home for victims during Christmas.
We have decided to forgo Christmas as usual and go back for Christmas time to serve and bring in a New Year of Blessing to the hurting in Swannano, NC.
Many will be blessed as we bring the hope in us to share. We are planning to help a single mother who has lost housing (currently with relative), dealing with the trauma and legal issues. We plan to get her headgasket replaced (go figure a Dodge Caravan) and help with Christmas stuff (presents, food, ect.).
We will also bring hope, blessing and more joy to a man and his girlfriend we had previously helped on mobile home in the flood. They to who are traumatized and working thru issues. The mans dad died just before storm and was unable to have funeral due to storm for a month or so. The girlfriend was to the point of su***de, as she was unable to help son in law, daughter and grandchildren who were near one of dams releasing water. Roads were blocked, waters rising power out, confusion, helplessness and communications down and left in a place of fear. Thank God her family made it thru. I can only imagine the trauma and idea that su***de would be the best option.
I have many stories to share about my time there. Wow, what a blessing to serve and bring hope!
If you want to share prayers, Christmas cheer, hope and blessing to our brothers and sisters we will accept them.
You can donate money for her car repairs ($1200-1500??), money to give away, gift cards or other, you can message me. I will be preparing a list of needed items needed. Space will be limited in vehicle this time due to us traveling in car verses truck or God provides other travel method.
We will be there 10 or 11 days and leaving the 22nd or 23rd.
Be Blessed
