The North Carolina Arboretum spring plant sale is FRI & SAT,
10-3. We'll be set up with several other great vendors (see list in link). After some nice rain and slightly cooler temps it's a great opportunity to get some planting done!

*They do charge their gate entry fee per vehicle. If you're not a member may be worth carpooling or just planning to make an outing out of it and walk the gardens with a picnic or get a bite in their cafe.

Miyabe Willow (Salix miyabeana) is a weaver's dream! Each year this willow species grows 8-10 ft of gorgeous dark red, straight, sparsely branched stems. Miyabe willow is beautiful in the landscape and also generates tons of material that can be harvested for creating living or wattle fences, arbors, and other garden structures, or to be used in basketry. Propagating this one as we speak! We should have about 50 ready to sell in a month or two.

Another great plant sale next weekend! Now that we're finally getting some rain and the cold weather is past it's a nice time to get some plants in the ground. Hope to see some of you all there.

The bees swarmed today but luckily landed right nearby and we got to catch them and stick them in a hive box we had waiting empty just in case of this exact scenario. A successful Sunday so far!

We've just listed the spring plant sales we'll be selling at this year. This is going to be the best way to buy plants from us this year. We hope to see you at one or several of these events!
