As you can see, work is being done on the Cottage. Here is an update from Development Director Erik Carlson:
"This phase has focused on shoring up the walls and a little bit more foundation work so the tile roof can be re-installed. The bids came back very favorably and we’re right around 50% of our budget remaining. The next step will be to get windows."

Here is an update from the West Lafayette Redevelopment Commission meeting minutes of December, 2019:

Change Order #1: Caretakers Cottase Phase 2 - Develonment
Easter requested the approval of Change Order from Kettelhut in an amount not-to-exceed
$200,000.00 for repairs at the Caretaker's Cottage.
Commissioner Hagmaier moved to approve Change Order #1 from Kettelhut in an amount not-toexceed $200,000.00 for repairs at the Caretaker's Cottage. Commissioner Meyers seconded.
The roll call vote:
Aye: Larry Oates, Patrick Hagmaier, Darrell Clase, John Meyers
Nay:
The motion to approve Change Order #1 from Kettelhut in an amount not-to-exceed $200,000.00
for repairs at the Caretaker's Cottage was passed 4-0.
