Fresh juice in just minutes with the Zulay Kitchen Juicer 🍎🥕🍊

I put it to the test, made a fresh batch of juice, and even had my toughest critic (my 2-year-old 😆) do a taste test. Safe to say it was a hit!

If you’ve been looking for an easy way to make fresh juice at home, this one is definitely worth checking out. What’s your favorite juice combination? 👇

Okay… this Tres Leches cake officially passed the taste test 🤤🍓

The kids were not fans and kept calling it a “soggy cake” 😂 but honestly… us adults and our toddler LOVED it. The flavor was so good, the cake was perfectly moist, and the homemade whipped topping wasn’t overly sweet at all. Add some fresh strawberries on top and it was the perfect dessert for Cinco de Mayo ❤️

Definitely going to be filming a full step-by-step recipe video soon because this one is too good not to share!

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo tonight with such a delicious dinner and I decided to try something new for dessert… a Tres Leches cake 🤍

I didn’t film the whole process this time because I wanted to test the recipe first (because let’s be honest… not every recipe is a winner 😅). But I did capture that final step of pouring the milk mixture over the cake and it is SO satisfying.

Now the real question… did it pass the taste test?! 👀
If it’s a yes, I’ll be sharing a full step-by-step version soon so you can make it at home too!

Have you ever tried Tres Leches cake before?

Perfect jasmine rice every single time… and it’s SO easy. 🍚✨

I used to struggle with getting rice just right on the stove, but ever since I started making it in my Instant Pot it comes out perfect every time.

Here’s my simple method:
• 3 cups jasmine rice
• 3 cups water
• Rinse the rice first (this helps prevent it from getting sticky)
• Add a splash of avocado oil
• Add a little sea salt

Put the lid on, make sure it’s set to sealing, press manual for 3 minutes, and let the Instant Pot do its thing.

That’s it! Fluffy, perfect rice every single time.

Simple, real ingredients and easy cooking are a big part of clean living in our home.

How do you make your rice? Stove top, rice cooker, or Instant Pot?

🌿 Kitchen Swap #1: Ditch the Plastic Cooking Utensils

One of the easiest swaps we made for a less toxic kitchen was switching plastic cooking utensils to wood and metal. Many plastic utensils can leach harmful chemicals—especially when exposed to heat—and over time those toxins can end up in your food. 😬

✨ Why we no longer use plastic utensils:
• Heat can cause plastic to release chemicals like BPA & phthalates
• Scratches trap bacteria
• They wear down quickly and end up in landfills

🌱 Healthier alternatives we love:
✔️ Wooden utensils – gentle on cookware, naturally antimicrobial
✔️ Stainless steel – durable, long-lasting, and toxin-free
✔️ Silicone (food-grade) – heat-resistant and a safer option when plastic-free isn’t possible

I’ve linked affordable, highly rated utensil sets on Amazon that we personally love and use in our home 👇 link in comments

Small swaps like this really do add up 💚 Which kitchen swap should I share next?
