Before it was finished, The Collected Residence already had everything it needed. Tall arched windows, 12-foot ceilings, and that unmistakable pre-war character — it was all there, just waiting to be brought forward.

The goal wasn’t to change the space, but to respond to it. To introduce contrast, deeper tones, and a sense of intimacy that balances the light.

A reminder that good design often starts with seeing and listening to what’s already there.

This project is Garrett’s apartment, brought together through pieces collected over the years.

Nothing was designed to match. Instead, the focus was on creating a space where everything feels connected - where vintage finds, artwork, and objects can live together naturally and tell a story. Contrast plays a big role throughout the apartment. Light-filled rooms are balanced by deeper, more enveloping spaces, shifting the feeling as you move through it.

At the center of it all is a rare 1930s motion picture backdrop that anchors the living room and sets the tone for the space - a truly one-of-a-kind piece, gifted by a friend, that carries its own history.

It’s a home that feels full of character, a little unexpected, and entirely personal.

We’ve been working on a thoughtful brand refresh with our friends , one that feels like a natural extension of Tend and of the work we’re continuing to grow into. The new logo draws from the timeless simplicity of an address nameplate, a small detail that speaks to home, a sense of place, craftsmanship, and the belief that every space has a story waiting to be uncovered.
 Shaped by what we love most about the Hudson Valley, its quiet character, layered history, and understated beauty, this new identity reflects the warmth, intention, and lived-in elegance that continues to guide our studio. We’re so grateful to Curious & Co. for helping bring this next chapter to life.
