On this beautiful interior project in Portland, every inch of trim was carefully protected before we even thought about painting the walls. Proper preparation is what separates an average paint job from a professional finish.

For this project, the trim received four coats total—two coats of primer and two finish coats—to ensure maximum durability, coverage, and a smooth, factory-like appearance.

On this coffered ceiling, we used red glazing putty to fill every nail hole, seam, and imperfection before painting. The goal isn’t just to make it look good from 5 feet away—it’s to make the trim disappear into a flawless finish.
