Hello! Hi! I know it’s been FOREVER and I apologize for not being back up and going this season like I had expected to! Building a house is no joke😵‍💫

Anywho…I was looking at tulip bulbs and wanted to check in to gauge interest before buying 1000+ bulbs for next spring 🙃

I realize that’s a long way off (so much planning goes into flower farming!) but would people be interested in tulips again? I liked doing the bouquets Hayley's Eatery bc it seemed really convenient, assuming she’ll have me😜

I’d welcome your options for a “YES I want beautiful tulips after a long cold winter!” Or “NO” in the comments section!

An early Happy Mothers Day to all you moms doing all the things, being everything for everyone, everywhere at once and doing it with grace. I’ll be at a soccer tournament this weekend but I didn’t want to miss all the moms who deserve more than one day. ❤️

Else-Wares is open this weekend! Ladies, buy this and thank me later🤩 (and I did not JUST get this bottle 🤪)
I definitely meant to snap a picture before it was empty but hey…we just removed a toilet yesterday and fished a tooth brush out (kids are so fun!) so I’m just over here hanging on for dear life some days🫠

Anyhow, it’s a bit sweet and very smooth! I’m not much a drinker and this was really enjoyable! Thanks for the recommendation Brit!

Tulip season is short but I hope everyone was able to enjoy some fun colors and varieties!

We will not have tulips at Hayley’s anymore this season bc they’re done😭 Peonies will be the next flower available and I’ll be sure to post when they’re close.

In other farm news, we are in the process of building and moving…just up the road! Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere ☺️

So this season will be a little different, I certainly will have to scale back a bit as the house build has to be priority #1. I’ll do my best but there are only so many hours in the day🫠
But once we’ve got that behind us I hope to expand the farm to allow U-picks and other ways for you guys to enjoy the flowers!❤️💐

I appreciate you all so much and can’t wait to see the farm grow!

So excited for peonies this year! I counted 80 sprouting plants!🤩🤩

While I’ve always had SOME peonies I’ve been holding off cutting from most bc they recommend waiting three years (that takes more will power than I possess apparently😂) But this year will a whole different story, so many different varieties!

I’ll have blush, whites, reds and deep magenta. But we all know the color is second fiddle to the SMELL🤓

I grow flowers…I also unalive plenty😑

Truth post: I seriously wonder about myself sometimes…so far this year I have some sad looking snapdragons and thought I knew better than Mother Nature and decided to transplant my yarrow and stock seedlings before that last cold snap aaaannnd they’re dead☠️☠️

So, off to replace those seeds and start over.

What was I seriously thinking??😵‍💫 🫣

Anyhow, just a reminder that we all make mistakes and I DEFINITELY won’t be making that one again! At least those were super early so I’m not really behind just out some money🫠

In other news, the warm weather is bringing tulips and daffodils earlier than usual so at least I didn’t mess that up🤩

It may be bitterly cold here in Kansas City but the thought of snagging some seeds from Sunflower Steve has kept my mind on warmer weather!🌻

Can you believe these are sunflowers?! Steve has been working for years up in Wisconsin to develop these beauties and seeds are limited and hard to get.

I am SO excited to be able to share these with you all this season! 🤩🤩

2023 was an AMAZING year! It was the first year doing spring flower subscriptions which was a big hit!
I had multiple weddings I was able to do the flowers for and that is SUCH an honor to be a part of your special days🤩 Thank you ladies!

We continued to service the local buisnesses, bed and breakfasts, and families in and around Weston! I love being a part of the community here😊

I was INCREDIBLY honored to present my farm and speak at the Missouri Agricultural Event, and even got to meet Dennis Epperly of Pa’s Posey Patch! IYKYK

And of course, as anyone who farms/gardens in any capacity you know it’s a never ending journey of learning. I continue to learn and do better and I appreciate all of you that love my work, it’s the biggest compliment and fills my cup😍🌼

It is YOUR support that keeps me going, growing and sharing the beauty of flowers! I’m excited to share exciting farm news with you this year as there will be big changes (all good ones!) as I work towards expanding the farm and hopefully 🤞 opening to the public in new ways. Lots of work going on behind the scenes and of course we juggle that with our full time jobs and three young girls🤪

Christmas idea for your mother-in-law bc seriously, what do they even need?😵‍💫😂

I have a few spots for spring flowers subscriptions to offer! This will be like last year where there will be a weekly delivery/pickup of spring flowers for 4 weeks here in Weston.

These are a few of the lovely tulips that will be blooming including Akebone, Dream Touch, Louvre and the one that got such a great response last year…Copper Image (top right)

I’ve chosen a variety of specialty tulips from Holland that include fringe and peony type doubles (copper image for example)

These will pair beautifully with the fancy narcissus🤩

Fun Christmas gift that person who has everything and can be enjoyed for a full month!

Price is $105 for 4 weeks of spring flowers and can be delivered to Weston, picked up at local shop downtown Weston (Weston Bend Candle Company I’m thinking but I’ll talk with Angie Vasquez and see what she thinks🤓) or picked up on the farm. 💐🌷
