Wouldn't you love to be able to sue for the knotweed on your property? Japanese knotweed is an evasive species that is rampant in our area. Difficult to eradicate due to it's deep roots, you can try every year, but alas, it often returns. Here's an interesting story from across the pond.

I love growing garlic. It's super easy to grow, you just need to remember that you need to plant it in the fall. I always plant in November, and it's ready in July - last year I planted over 50 cloves for 50 heads of garlic. There are lots of reason to plant, but here is an important one: most of the garlic on the east coast that you purchase from supermarkets comes from China, where you can also be consuming bleach and chemicals. If you haven't planted yet, you might be able to get some in. With all the rain coming up, pick a relatively warm day, plant the unpeeled garlic 2 inches deep root down (tips up!), and cover with about 4 inches of lose mulch (straw or leaves). Then leave it alone until spring!
