A Kitchen That Feels Like Coming Home

The all-white custom cabinetry keeps the space feeling light and airy, letting the architecture speak for itself. There is a quiet confidence in keeping things simple and letting the details do the work.

Brass and nickel hardware work together to give the space some sparkle. And touches of blue, the client’s favorite color, keep it classically Connecticut.

The island brings warmth and function together in one spot. It creates a natural gathering point that makes the kitchen feel as comfortable as the rest of the home.

“Interesting custom cabinetry will be a big bathroom trend for 2026…” 📢

In a recent feature with AOL, I shared how more clients are moving toward custom cabinetry in the bathroom - not just for how it looks, but for how it supports everyday use.

It’s a more considered approach, where the details are tailored and the space feels both functional and personal.

For me, it’s less about following trends, and more about creating something that feels intentional and lasting.

A Classic Home, Made To Feel Fresh And Lived-in| New Canaan Project

Some homes already have a strong sense of character. The question becomes how to make them feel lighter, softer, and more suited to everyday living.

For this New Canaan project, the goal was never to change the architecture, but to work with it. The existing details already gave the home structure, so we focused on introducing a softer palette, layered textures, and a mix of materials to bring a more relaxed feeling into each space.

An extensive kitchen renovation and newly remodeled bathrooms throughout created a fresh feel and greater function for this busy family.

Throughout the home, there is a balance between refined and lived-in. Clean lines are paired with warmer elements, and each room is designed to feel comfortable without losing its sense of intention.

The result is a space that feels both timeless and easy to live in.

📌 Save this for inspiration, or reach out if you’re thinking about your own space. I’d love to hear what you’re working on.

Soft whites, warm woods, and layered blues flow seamlessly from room to room — held together by texture, craftsmanship, and art that sets the tone. Custom furnishings and refined finishes bring warmth to every corner with art playing a defining role throughout.

Art shopping..... Art is one of my first loves and a subject I have studied my whole life. It is so relevant to interior design because it is all about color, composition, and mood.

In my interior design projects I always recommend art for my client’s consideration because in order to have a room that sings, you need art. A fabulous room will ALWAYS have art - just like a room with no art will always feel like it is sadly waiting for that essential element.

Anguilla has so much natural beauty but what makes it unique are the things you won’t find there: crowds, kids, & indifferent service.

The food is constistently delicious - I don’t know what they did, but this island is brimming with incredible chefs.

The vibe is so chill - there is no fashion show going on here it is really about relaxation and ease.

It’s a place that sticks in your mind and a place that after you’ve been there, you compare every other place to.
