I've seen an incredible amount of ash tree damage from Woodpeckers getting to EAB. Removing dead trees everyday. Yesterday j worked in a neighborhood that had been badly impacted in the past month alone with almost every tree getting ravaged. We are more than just a tree trimming, pruning and removal company. Lately I have been doing Emerald Ash Borer treatments as well as Pine Bark Beetle treatments to save the trees in distress. Treatments aren't always effective, depending on many circumstances, but many times they are. The US Department of Agriculture says this about Pine Bark Beetle:

The only treatment that can be applied to the tree is preventative. This will protect the tree by killing the beetles before they infest the tree. Insecticides containing the active ingredients permethrin or carbaryl and labeled for bark beetle control, should be done by early June to protect trees from MPB.
