This is another design option for the treehouse in the Berkshire’s. One of the volumes here has a screened in porch in which the bed can be rolled at night to sleep with the breezes and sounds of nature.

J_spy is excited to present our first house design with architectural drawings for sale at $2,500. J_spy is an award winning firm featured in Dwell and Dezeen magazines among others. We love working with clients directly on custom projects, but realize that hiring a design architect isn’t economically feasible for most of us. Catskills House - Part 10: “Finishes, fixtures & equipment” So it’s been a while since we continued our Catskills series... here we go again! The rough construction of the space had been completed, but with no power on our property yet, the contractor was hesitant to install any finishes in the middle of winter. We completely understood, but we were also anxious to get in the space (with or without power). We had all these wonderful items we had taken great care to select for this little house, that after a few weeks of diligently calling the utility company, the contractor was finally able to start installing the finishes and fixtures. It was satisfying to finally see things come together.

Here is another rendering of the Catskills Guest House we have been working on. We feel the bluestone base and charred wood upper volume would be a great addition to our property.

You can’t tell from this image (given the beautiful blue sky), but it was 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Bosley was in his element.

Per special request from here is an update on our CT project’s master bath. The plaster work is waterproof, and was a labor of love by the team that installed it. There are still a few minor items needed to be worked on (such as outlets, lighting, and waiting on a reducer for the tub control), but we and the clients are super excited to see that it is finally coming together as we envisioned. @ Hamden, Connecticut
