This bathroom is basically a collection of things that shouldn’t have found each other… but somehow did.
The tile was sourced out of New York — over 100 years old, hand glazed and fired in Japan. The Kohler sink is an unused piece from the 80s in *Blueberry*. The nearly 100-year-old plaster mirror was brought back to life, and the vanity started as a 1930s dresser before we topped it with leathered granite.
Everything else was built around that tile, with little Japanese-inspired details worked in throughout.
We did every bit of this one, and tbh I’m not sure we’ll ever build another bathroom quite like it.
