I have flipped and flopped back and forth if I wanted to keep Triple Threat in the herd this year. Do I? Yes! Should I? Probably not. I absolutely do not want to freshen 42 Nigerian Dwarfs again next year. I only want to freshen 20 max, ideally 15. So, Iā€™m starting to have to cut does Iā€™d normally keep for a few more freshenings.

ā­ļøPOLLED ā­ļøBLUE EYED ā­ļøMOONSPOTTED (alright itā€™s hidden, she produced two kids loaded in moonspots this year and I know the buck does not have any spots and her dam line is known for being spotty)

Her Sire Guiseppe is out of one of my favorite does, CrookedCedar Farm Giannetti. Gia is 9 and has not settled in two years. Guiseppeā€™s grandsire is Dragonfly PAR Neville *B whom we tragically lost to a bad bale of hay. Neville is out of the one and only Ninevah from Dragonfly Farms. These are amazing old genetics that are normally buried generations back in pedigree!

Her dam Mary is a home bred doe that won every class she has shown in as a Junior and went Grand Champion Junior Doe at the second show she was entered in. Mary is a very petite little doe standing at 18ā€.

Triple Threat herself is a petite doe like her dam standing at maybe 18ā€. She is friendly and was well behaved on the stand after a few weeks. She has been dried off with my medical issues this spring.

***Deposit Recieced***

I have five Nigerian Dwarf does looking for new milkers. I recently had surgery and my husband has been doing the farm chores and would like it if I kept less does for him to milk. They can go with or without papers. Willing to meet up to 2 hours away from White Rock, NM. I do need a deposit if I am traveling greater than 30 minutes from home to ensure my time and gas is not being wasted.

1. Windy is a naturally polled or hornless doe. She is buckskin with minimal white. She is a yearling first freshener with good production for her age and having a single.

2. Gretta is a chocolate Chamoise and Swiss combo with minimal moonspots. Also a yearling first freshener with good production

3. Helga is a chocolate buckskin with moonspots with large white overlay. She had a broken hock that was set by a vet, but didnā€™t heal correctly. She is lame after hoof trims and stands off balance, but it didnā€™t affect her ability to kid or jump on and off the milk stand. Helga kidded in January and is in the process of being dried off

4. Paparazzi is a dark buckskin with minimal white. She is also a yearling milker and had a single this year so not super productive and will be dried off after this weekend if she doesnā€™t have a new milker.

3. Marigold is a two year old first freshener. She freshened in February and her production has been consistent with once a day milking. She is gold and white with moonspots.

Elizabeth bought Muppet from us and then I regretted selling him so much I bought him back! I love that he has daughters excelling in herds all over the country in very different climates! Congratulations!

Trying a new to method of starting seeds this year, the snail roll method. Iā€™m using empty feed bags cut into strips. Fingers crossed I save some money on plants this year.
