I was going through old pictures and realized that we never posted anything from this project from a few years ago. We removed the popcorn texture from all ceilings, skim-coated over knockdown texture in two bathrooms, and painted everything. These folks are still some of my favorite customers and even had us back out for dinner a while back, so I think their project deserves a spot on our page. They have a beautiful home with lots of natural light, so it made for some really nice pictures.

This customer's entire home was covered in soot from a faulty fireplace. All walls, ceilings, trim, cabinets, blinds, and fixtures had to be scrubbed down with Simple Green and vinegar before we could even start our regular painting process. Afterwards, we primed everything with lacquer primer to keep what remained from bleeding through and repainted the place. It was a lengthy process, but we are so proud of the results and grateful to have gotten to spend so much time with such wonderful people. We used Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series for the trim and cabinetry and Duration for the walls (Pure White 7005 for both).

PSA for all our friends and customers in the Wichita area: KWCH has put out a freeze warning tonight, the first of many as we head into winter, so make sure to bring in any paints you may be storing in the garage or shed. Latex paint is water based, so it can freeze at 32 degrees, and once frozen, it's very unlikely it will be salvageable in the future.
