No matter how many days, months, or years go by, it never gets any easier! It still doesn't seem real even though I know it is! Today was and will always be a day I hold close to my heart! To the most beautiful, sweetest, caring, gentle, harsh when needed, protective, selfless person I've ever been blessed to have in my life, you comforted when it was needed, disciplined when it was necessary, sacrificed sleep on Friday nights making sammiches, cutting oranges, and all the goodies then loading up the car and driving 1-4hrs to wrestling tournaments, and all the selfless acts you did for us kids, never once heard you complain, you was my super hero then and you still rock that title! You also still rock the title of Mother!! Happy birthday to the strongest woman I've ever been blessed to know!! I know you're watching because when I'm down, or when I'm angry, or when I feel like giving up you show up! I miss you as much today as I did the day you left this Earth, but I know everything's going to be okay when I see a butterfly because I know it's you! I love you infinity! 🦋🦋

Happy Sunday everyone! Are you tired and worn out from the stressful work week? Gutters need cleaned, lawn needs mowed, garbage disposal needs fixed/replaced, the list goes on and on! As you all know the temperatures have been unforgiving this summer and we all know we need to stay hydrated and take care of ourselves, but we forget about our equipment so I thought I woukd give a few tips on maintaining mowers, w**d eaters, etc. One of the biggest mistakes I see people do is immediately when they're done mowing is spray it down with the garden hose. This is probably one of the worst things that you can do to your mower or any type of engine, when the engine is hot and you introduce cold water out of the garden hose you risk cracking the aluminum housing. The best way to clean your mowing deck both on top and blade side is to let the mower cool for at least 30 to 45 minutes before spraying it down. I also generally do not like to use the garden hose get the grass out from underneath the low deck, I like to use a rounded putty knife and scrape the undercarriage. One of the biggest reasons for making sure you clean your mowing deck both on top and underneath is to prevent rusting and it also allows the correct amount of air flow especially if you have a mulching mower. Another mistake that I see people make is when they're done mowing is immediately put their mower in the shed or the garage. The problem with this is most people generally store their mower close to their gas container and store it in a place where it may come in contact with something that the muffler could cause to catch fire. So as I said above always let your mower or any lawn equipment that has an engine cool for at least 30 to 45 minutes before storing it and before spraying it off with water. One last tip, take plenty of breaks stay hydrated and remember that our bodies are just like the equipment that we use it can be cooled down too fast so avoid drinking large amounts of ice water at one time. Why should you clean out your rain gutters? There are many reasons but here is just a few. Soil erosion around your foundation, which can cause serious damage and weaken structural support, can cause your roof to leak if the anchors pull out which leads to mold in walls and attic. And in a worse case scenario, can cause electrical issues. Guttering is an important part of your homes exterior, don't neglect them too long or in can be a very expensive lesson. It's that time of year that we have all grown to love to hate! Cleaning out the gutters. Gutters that are Club with leaves limbs and other debris can cause multiple problems, leaking basement, foundation damage to your home, it can cause unwanted pests such as mosquitoes due to standing water in your gutters that won't drain and several other major issues. Experts say we should inspect our gutters at least twice a year, once in the early spring and late summer or early fall. An exception would be if you have a large pine tree growing around your home it's recommended that you check it at least 3 or 4 times a year.
