Tired today, maybe it is the result of 'tasting' wine for four days. What an event in Washington, DC this week. Tasted First Growths from the 2009 Bordeauxs. A highlight, well, truthfully there were many highlights, but anyway, a tasting of Mouton 03 and 09 along with some great friends.

What an event last night. thirty guests, ninety bottles of great wine. Dined with the owners of Opus One and Trefethen Wineries along with the Editor and Chief of the Washington Times and newsman Bill Plant. The wines tasted included Lafite, Opus, Petrus, Yquem plus many more. No one left thirsty. Oh, they served food too.

Day one: on the roof of Charlie Palmer's Steak House in DC overlooking the Capital, fifty or so bottles of great wine, open and taste to ensure it is good, then taste to be certain, off to the St. Gregory 2033M St. Nw, DC.
