Art therapy days are the best days! While Sam Stroyan
used some freshly turned ash mushrooms to create this fine driftwood table piece I worked on turning the other half of that piece of Lilac from a week or so ago. I truly think it may be the wood I enjoy turning the most after the fourth piece I’ve done. It’s dense, carves and sands to a beautiful finish and looks amazing especially after the Odie's Oil finish is applied. We had to stay out of the real feel of 102 degrees and I am ever so pleased I put an ac unit in the shop when I built it. They are beautiful pieces. Our next show is August 22 and 23 at the Sanborn NY sunflower festival. Details and times soon. In the meantime several of our creations are on display at the Blue Frog gift shop here in Wilson NY!
