There is life in the garden! Which is shocking to me...its been SO cold! I still have not put in peppers, onions, tomato or some of my herbs because im still seeing 40s at night. 🤦‍♀️

But as of this morning, I have signs of life from the following!

Radishes
Arugala
Swiss chard
Lettuce
Peas
Garlic (planted in fall 2025)
Kale
Beets

The rest of it is just taking their sweet time!

We have arugala already coming up! I planted it 3 days ago! Gardening is so fun! ❤️ what do you use arugala for?

Good morning!
You may have seen that we changed the name of our farm...it is no longer just Tucker's farmstand because in August of last year, our family grew by 4 paws. Oakley has joined our family and has taken a liking to the gardening chores...and by that I mean, walking through my garden beds.

Oakley is currently 11 months old. He is very friendly, loves to show off any toy that is around, and constantly cries with excitement. We just chalk it up to him having big feelings.

We have been making big additions from last year. My garden measured about 30x30ft, this year, it is closer to 80x30ft. We have added about 5 blueberry bushes, an asparagus bed, and hoping by the end of summer, I will have about 75 raspberry canes. Unfortunately, all of these things take time to produce, so we are looking at a few years before I can harvest any of it. But as always, if there is extra, even a little, it will be in the farmstand.

Speaking of which, I am working on procuring a shed or farmstand setup to put in the yard for excess produce, which will be available on a donation basis only. More to come on that once I have it set up!

Hi. We’re the Golden Dogs behind Golden Dog Farm. 🐾 our names are Tucker and Oakley.

Our jobs include:
• Supervising garden activities
• Walking through garden beds when we absolutely know we shouldn't (Oakley)
• Quality-testing green beans
• Protecting the carrots from critters (by eating the carrots first)
• Laying directly in the middle of whatever our humans are trying to do

Some people say we’re “in the way.”
We prefer “hands-on farm management.”

At Golden Dog Farm, you’ll find fresh produce, muddy paws, stolen cucumbers, and two golden retrievers who are very committed to helping… even if nobody asked us to.

Our by donation only farmstand is coming, we promise. Our mom has been working very hard to try to find one that suits her needs...we think shes just being overly picky...more info on that to come.

Thanks for following along on our farm adventures. We can’t promise perfection, but we can promise golden fur in the garden beds and at least one missing tomato at all times.

Hello humans! Tucker here with a garden update!

Below is a picture of my first row of green beans. By the end of July, there will be three rows!! Do you see them sprouting!? This is one my favorite veggies! These are trilogy beans! They will be yellow, green and purple.

My mom planted my delecata squash today, and one row of lettuce as well, and we got three beautiful basil plants from Hilltop greenhouse out in Fairfield!

The garlic is garlic-ing! They're about 10" high and in a few weeks, we should see some scapes!

Unfortunate news, we have a groundhog on my premises...you would think with my scent all around, it would deter him...but he's here. So we're going to try to humanely rehome him, far far away.

Have a great week friends!
