For anyone who lives, does business in, or even desires to live in the City of Atlanta, stopping this current draft of the Tree Protection Ordinance is imperative. Existing homeowners don't understand how detrimental this is not only to future buyers (or should you ever want to move) but also to your own property values. The current draft would render almost every standard smaller Atlanta lot unbuildable if even a single tree existed on the lot of decent size. There must be a balance between saving trees and housing affordability and you must rid the world of the NIMBYism that currently exists throughout our city.
