🌿 Women Built Sheds: Meet Kate! 🌿

Kate is a 40-year-old emergency veterinarian, avid gardener, and self-taught DIYer from Portland, Maine—and she built most of this beautiful 12′×16′ garden shed herself!

Her goal was to create a central hub for a productive backyard garden. While constructing the shed, Kate also installed six raised garden beds and customized the plans with a back door, access ramp, half-moon window, and frost-proof pier foundation.

“The plans were easy to follow. I built most of it myself.”

Today, her shed provides organized space for gardening supplies, larger equipment, and plenty of deep storage in the loft. Best of all, Kate gained new skills and the satisfaction of creating something remarkable with her own hands.

🏡 The Friedmans Built More Than a Storage Shed—They Built It Together!

When the Friedmans decided they needed more storage space, they saw an opportunity to do more than simply add a shed to their backyard. They turned it into a family project.

Working together, they measured lumber, framed walls, raised the roof, and watched their new shed take shape one piece at a time. Like any worthwhile DIY project, there were probably a few moments that required extra patience and teamwork—but that only made the finished shed more rewarding.
