Among many big moments at a project where I have been working for nearly ten years, this was the most amazing: recycled old timbers for a new barn. You can hardly count the rings! Over two hundred, and it came from a barn that was built almost a hundred years ago... so this wood is easily 300 years old.

New project! This was as beautiful a place and as warm a family as I can remember. They have lived in tents and tiny cabins for 16 years and are ready to build a house on this gorgeous property, where the screened-in gazebo sits now. (It will have a new home looking south from the hill.)

This old house in Harpswell was going to be completely replaced, so the driveway needed a makeover too. We came around the other side of an old tree to create privacy, erosion control and a guest parking area at the top.
