Venus was showing out tonight! Storm clouds rollin’ in on one side and the evening star shining bright on the other. Reckon the good Lord has a way of reminding us where to keep our eyes.

Homemade Chamomile Oil 🌼

I know I’ve talked about this one before, but chamomile oil is still one of my favorite little jars to keep on hand. It’s simple to make and useful for so many things.

A few reasons I love it:
• Soothes dry, irritated & sensitive skin
• Helps calm minor redness & inflammation
• Wonderful for massaging tired, tense muscles
• Moisturizes & softens skin
• That gentle chamomile scent sure does make for a calming bedtime routine after these busy school days
• One of my favorites to massage into my neck & jaw when tension starts creeping in

To Make:
Fill a clean, dry jar about 1/2-3/4 full with dried chamomile flowers. Cover completely with your choice of carrier oil (I like olive, jojoba or sweet almond) making sure the flowers stay fully submerged.

Seal and let infuse in a warm, dark place for 4–6 weeks, giving it a gentle shake every few days. Strain well, bottle & store in a cool, dark place.

Quick Method: Place the jar in a warm water bath over very low heat for 2–4 hours, making sure no water gets into the oil. Cool, strain & bottle.

A little note: Always use fully dried chamomile to help prevent moisture and spoilage. For external use only & patch test first.

Simple ingredients and a little patience.

This isn’t medical advice; just sharing a little something that works well for me. Check with your healthcare provider if you have questions about whether it’s appropriate for you.

Been working on this little space for a minute now, and I’m loving how it’s all coming together. 🤎

A little something personal, a little something old, and a little something new, to me, anyway. There’s just something about filling a home with pieces that have a story to tell.
